developing civil consciousness, improving the quality of life and
making the population more aware of ecological problems. |

As a unique and specific institution, regarding its
functions and purposes, the Cultural Centre in Smederevo should always
be ready to accept advancement in European and world culture and art,
to unite with European and world cultural centres and to preserve the
heritage of its own people. The centre should also encourage
creativity in its community and satisfy the cultural needs of the
population gravitating towards it. |

- Getting acquainted with how the centre works, its programme
orientation and how it is financed.
- Receiving information about how the network of cultural centres
functions
(the problems that arise and how they are solved).
We would like to know how cultural heritage is used in tourist
purposes (if and how art, ethnological, archaeological settings are
used in the programmes of the cultural centre); the correlation
between traditional and contemporary values.
- We would like to learn about their productions (theatrical,
musical, art etc.)
- How the centre works with the young (talented individuals,
groups)
- What the technical resources of the centre are.
- We would like to visit other cultural institutions: museums,
galleries; to learn about the cultural life and work in the
country (what influence the centre has). We would like to assess the
possibility of developing a close association
between our two centres and towns (perhaps between two village
schools)
Our final aim is to make the bonds in European culture stronger.
